MIL-B-45367AA
(h) Evidence of structural weakness in any part of the vehicle, vehicle components, or
accessories
(i) Loose mountings of parts or accessories due to workmanship or vehicular operation
(j) Excessive oil consumption (exceeding 1 quart per 1,000 miles)
(k) Failure or deformation of any part of the litter support system.
4.3.4.1.3 Mileage and maintenance records. The vehicle shall be driven not more than
1,000 miles more than the miles required under table III, including break-in mileage, prior to and
during the test. All mileage accumulated and all service or maintenance records shall be
furnished to the Government representatives. Distribution of records shall be identical to that for
service manuals and shall be concurrent with the manual distribution.
4.3.4.1.4 Delivery of test vehicle. Upon successful completion of the vehicle test and
final examination, the vehicle shall be cleaned, serviced and refurbished to the extent required
for delivery of a new vehicle to the Government. Warranty provisions of the contract shall be
exclusive of total test miles.
4.3.5 Production sample. Upon acceptance of the first production vehicle, it shall remain
at the manufacturing facility as a production sample, and shall be the last vehicle shipped on the
contract. The contractor shall maintain the vehicle in a serviceable condition for the duration of
the contract.
4.3.6 Failure. Failure of the first production vehicle to meet requirements of the contract
shall be cause for the Government to refuse acceptance of all vehicles under contract until
corrective action has been taken.
4.4 Inspection of production vehicles. Each production vehicle, less payload, shall be
examined and driven on approximately level road surfaces by the contractor to assure that the
vehicle will operate in accordance with the contractual requirements. The contractor may
authorize his subcontractor who will perform the final assembly work on the vehicle to make
such examination and tests, but this shall not relieve the contractor of his obligation to deliver an
acceptable vehicle or constitute a waiver of any warranty provision. For each vehicle under
contract, the contractor shall make available to the Government, at the point of final acceptance,
records acceptable to the Government indicating that the servicing and adjusting required by
3.6 has been accomplished.
4.4.1 Removal of instruments and controls. The requirements in 3.4.17 shall not be
construed as requiring the removal of the instruments and controls as part of the final
examination and test. However, the presentation of the complete vehicle with said instruments
and controls in place shall be tantamount to certification that said instruments and controls are
installed in a manner that facilitate their removal and servicing.
